Animate 3D Contest Spring '21 - #Animate3DYourself

We’re back and ready to challenge everyone for a round 2 in the Animate 3D Contest, Spring ‘21. Back in December for our first contest we couldn’t have been more excited about what our community created - take a look at the Winter Winners Reel here! Now we have a few more months under our belt and a lot more to share with you all. What better way to explore all our new updates and features by winning a prize?

This contest brings even greater personalization through a new Custom Character feature with support from our partners at Wolf3D. You can now customize your own personal avatar with the Ready Player Me avatar generator. Explore over 200 customizable options including hair, eyes, skin and clothing. You can even upload a picture to make it look like you! Check out more about this new integration.

For our more experienced users, in addition to the new character generator, we have also recently added support for iClone and Daz3D Custom Character uploads. In addition, our animation exports now also include a mesh so that you can import your animations directly into Unreal Engine 4.

We’re giving away thousands in cash prizes, Animate 3D subscriptions and a customized AI mocap motion reference package by our friends over at Endless Reference. We handpicked motions specially for this prize that we know you’re going to enjoy!

Submission Categories:

Choose one of the following categories to submit your animation entry under. There’s something for all levels of creator!

• Basic Creation

New to animation, or don’t have a lot of time? Enter here! Simply use the Ready Player Me avatar generator and submit your .mp4 export, downloaded directly from the Animate 3D Web Service. There’s no additional editing needed (or allowed!) - simply show us your animation!

• Advanced Creation

Do you want to stretch your creative legs? This is the category for you! You can use your own custom characters, or you can generate one with our custom character creator - but to get a leg up, you should consider changing the scenery, add effects, go wild!

Themes:

Choose a theme and craft your animation around it!

• Quarantine Workout: You’ve had a year to perfect it, show us your best home workout moves. Kicking, punching, jumping, even swimming we want to see what you got!
• Dance the Day Away: Dance like no one's watching… but then animate it and show it to us!
• Slapstick Comedy: Lets see that slapstick humor emphasized by dramatic motions. Some extreme drunk stumbling, clumsy sports moves, slippery surfaces, funny walks? Lets see it.
